| Motlikru Beardies is a small, home based kennel currently situated in Rosthern, Sk. This is a small town north of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada. Motlikru came to be in 1981. I am a second generation Beardie person. My mother, Nellie Neil, breeds Beardies using the kennel name "Buaidh" (pronounced bonnick), which is Gaelic for Victory. Nellie currently resides in Rosthern, Saskatchewan. We co-breed almost all of our litters. My first Beardie was Can.CH.Buaidh Delightful Mithandral.HC. Tori also had 2 legs towards her CD, one of which was a high score in Specialty. After campaigning one of my mothers males for a year I convinced her to give me a co-ownership in him. So here came Baxter (Can/Am.CH.Bedlam-Buaidh Xerox Copy.TT.). He was my heart dog. Boo went everywhere I went. Once he was retired he still came to the shows to lounge on the grooming table all day while I showed other dogs. All of my current dogs descend from Baxter. He was the greatest & is deeply missed. We do not breed often (about 1 litter every year or two). We keep all of our retirees which of course limits how many new puppies we can keep. We feel 4 dogs is the most we can keep & give enough love & affection to. This means that there are often quality show puppies available on full or co-ownerships to the right person. |
